Yummy Teacakes! …. Baking :-)

Oh you are going to get tired of me! However we (actually more Peter as I was tired in my back) just made teacakes and I wanteed to post the photo and recipe for you all! 🙂

Here is the photo! (Taken by Peter)

Absolutely Yummy!

The recipe was in Swedish so I have had to translate it as best as possible. I hope you can follow the measurements as I couldn’t find a way to concert them to grams! If anybody knows how to convert them please, please let me know 🙂

Yummy Teacakes!

50 grams yeast
10 decilitre white flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 decilitre light syrup
100 gram melted butter
2,5 decilitre oatmeal
5 decilitre milk

Put the milk and oatmeal into a bowl and let it stand a few minutes. heat it on the cooker with the syrup and butter until fingerwarm (37 degrees)

Add the yeast and let it dissolve by stirring. Add the flour and salt. Let it stand covered in a tea towel for 30 minutes.

Kneed the dough till smooth on a floured area. Make small balls and flatten with your hands until they are flat teacakes.Place them on a baking tray with baking paper on. Spike with a fork a few times and cover with a tea towel again for 20-30 minutes.

Back in the lower part of the oven 225 degrees for 10-15 minutes.

Try them! They really are scrumptious, especially warm with butter on 🙂
